We are pleased to invite you to the OTC I Starter Course: “Closed Fracture Treatment & Casting Techniques”, taking place on Saturday, 12 December 2026, at UZ Gent.
This starter course will focus on the initial management of acute and closed fractures, combining essential theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training.
During the course, we will cover:
Practical tips and tricks for the diagnosis of acute fractures
Closed reduction techniques and manoeuvres
Principles of closed fracture management
Extensive theoretical and hands-on practical sessions on plastering and casting techniques
The course is open to all trainees involved in the initial management of trauma, emergency physicians and general practitioners.
New this year: We are delighted to welcome emergency nurses, OR nurses, and cast technicians to join the practical session in the afternoon. A dedicated registration link is available for nurses.
Places are limited, so we encourage you to register early.
