Residents’ course Zimmer Biomet: Basic Principles in Total Knee Surgery

Course overview
This course is designed for 3rd and 4th year residents and will focus on the most common miscommunications during Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) and how to prevent them. The program will include a theoretical session led by faculty, followed by interactive workshops.

Target audience
The course is intended for Belgian 3rd and 4th year residents of the academic year 2025–2026.

Main learning objectives

  • Enhance technical skills through interactive sawbone-based challenges

  • Experience simulated TKA scenarios using Virtual Reality

  • Improve preoperative decision-making and communication during a planning workshop
